PAIN

01 Book
This book will kick off your topic deliverables. This is the most complex design system of all for this project, and beginning first allows you to work with ease as you move along with the others. For that reason, you have the most time on the book. You will be using complex and dynamic grids, a complex design system and a strong concept. Your use of interesting and conceptual type will take your type skills to a new level. In previous type classes, you have learned grids and complex type systems, but your first priority was beautiful and readable type. You will keep those skills, but add in using type beyond a basic type block, beyond standard and traditional sizes, and you will develop the plan based fully around your concept.

02 Poster
The poster is a deliverable used to showcase your project in a single sheet. You will be coming from a complex visual system used across multiple pages to this one page that needs to convey the same concept and visual language. How does your type and design elements change with this new challenge of having minimal content and space to work with? What can you do with this to take it beyond a boring poster?

03 Website / Code
There are so many programs available for us to experiment with. Always explore, teach yourself something new, and be hungry for what else is available to make designs with. The main objective of this project is to introduce you to code that allows you to interact, or play. To communicate a message in a different way. And, to remind you that there is so much more available beyond the Adobe programs. Many, like this, open source.

04 Infographic
To be able to communicate complex information in a quick, and visually engaging way. An infographic takes data and shows it in a more simple, easy-to-follow structure. Within this particular infographic, you will take your visual language and use what is needed to ensure this works within the whole.
